The company was founded and consisted of one of the hydraulic cranes for lease

The rent was expanded by the purchase of ten working elevators, both scissors and javelin lifts

The company grew steadily and in 2005 there were more than a hundred rental vehicles.

Armar acquires the company Mót og kranar ehf. and dabble in the tournament business.
2010
Armar Jarðvélar ehf. established and the company's first excavators and bucolas purchased and leased.
2013
Armar Bílar ehf. is established to provide a wider range of products and better service through operating leasing of cars to existing Arma customers.
2014
Armar moves to a new headquarters at Kaplahraun 2-4 in Hafnarfjörður where all the operations are merged under one hat.
2017
Arms receive dealers for Genie elevators in Iceland from Heimir and Lárus ehf. after years of successful collaboration.
